Introduction and Acceptance
Welcome to Brefast. By accessing or using our meal planning application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the service.
Brefast is operated from the United Kingdom. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Brefast.
Eligibility
To use Brefast, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using the service under applicable law
Account Responsibilities
When you create an account, you agree to:
- Secure your email access — Since we use passwordless authentication, anyone with access to your email can access your account
- Accept responsibility — You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- One account per person — Do not create multiple accounts
- Accurate information — Provide accurate and complete information
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to disrupt, hack, or compromise the service or its infrastructure
- Create fake, spam, or fraudulent accounts
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the service without permission
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Upload malicious content or attempt to inject harmful code
- Interfere with other users' use of the service
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
User Content
Ownership
You retain ownership of all content you create in Brefast, including products, meals, and weekly plans.
License
By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content to you as necessary to provide the service.
Privacy
Your content is private by default. If we introduce sharing features in the future, you will have explicit control over what you share.
Accuracy
You are responsible for the accuracy of the nutritional information and other content you enter.
Feedback
You may submit feedback through the app to help us improve Brefast. By submitting feedback, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, review, and act on your feedback for product improvement purposes. Feedback is retained for up to 1 year from submission and is deleted automatically after that period, or immediately if you delete your account. You may also request early deletion of your feedback by contacting us at support@brefast.com.
Intellectual Property
The Brefast name, logo, application code, and design are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the application
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
- Use our branding without permission
Product data imported from Open Food Facts is used under their terms of use.
Service Availability and Changes
- Availability — We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or due to factors beyond our control.
- Changes — We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. During the beta period, features may change or be removed as we develop the product.
- Updates — We may update the application to improve functionality, security, or compliance.

Not Medical or Nutritional Advice
Data Accuracy
Nutritional data accuracy depends on:
- Information you enter manually
- Data from Open Food Facts, which is community-contributed
We do not guarantee the accuracy of nutritional information. Use at your own discretion.
No Warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (currently £0 during the free beta period)
- We are not liable for any health outcomes resulting from use of the service
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any other liability that cannot be excluded by law
Termination
By You
You may stop using the service at any time. To delete your account and data, contact us at support@brefast.com.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your access if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in abusive or fraudulent behaviour
- Pose a security risk to the service or other users
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the service ends. Your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Future Paid Features
We plan to introduce paid subscription features in the future. When we do:
- Pricing and terms will be clearly communicated before any purchase
- Payment terms, refund policies, and cancellation procedures will be added to these Terms
- You will not be charged without your explicit consent
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Before initiating legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us to attempt informal resolution.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notification. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised.
